Honoring Gold Star AggiesWhen James Bohlig '66 went to Vietnam as a Marine Corps pilot in 1969, his son was just 5 months old. The elder Bohlig never returned, and his name is among the 135 fallen Aggies who will be honored in a beautiful new way — on the Gold Star Aggies Wall that will be unveiled during the campus's fifth annual Memorial Day Ceremony, this Thursday (May 25). Regents approve cap on nonresident enrollment
The Board of Regents approves a policy capping nonresident undergraduate enrollment at 18 percent at five UC campuses. At the other four campuses where the proportion of nonresidents exceeds 18 percent — Berkeley, Irvine, Los Angeles and San Diego — nonresident enrollment will be capped at the proportion that each campus enrolls in the 2017-18 academic year. The 6-month-old Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art hosts its first student exhibition, one that showcases the many artistic dimensions of the College of Letters and Science, as embodied by 28 graduate students. The exhibition, from this point forward, includes physical works in art, design and theatre; musical works and a sound installation; art history and history presentations; and readings by creative writers.
