With the presidential campaign in the home stretch, what do our woolly bear caterpillars have to say about who's going to win on Nov. 8? They've been successful at predicting Democratic and Republican victories dating back to 1984, so we checked in again with Professor Richard Karban (head of caterpillar polling) and graduate student Eric Lo Presti for the latest data from the woolly bears of Bodega Bay. Data point from annual travel survey is good news for our overall carbon footprint, which shrank from 7.8 pounds of carbon-dioxide-equivalent per capita each weekday in the 2014-15 year to 7.2 pounds per capita in 2015-16.
