Clery crime statistics for 2015 released
UC Davis released its Annual Security and Fire Safety Report late last week, notifying all employees and students by email. The report, required by the federal law known as the Clery Act, includes information about campus safety programs as well as a summary of certain categories of crimes reported on and around UC Davis property in calendar year 2015. Naomi Paik, assistant professor, Asian American studies, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, will discuss her new book, which grapples with the history of U.S. prison camps that have confined people outside the boundaries of legal and civil rights. - Rodando en La Habana: bicycle stories — This documentary looks at bicycling and community in Cuba today, some 20 years after the island nation lost its supply of petroleum from the Soviet Union — and imported 1 million bikes from China. - Recruitment for faculty director, Imagining America: Artists and Scholars in Public Life — National search conducted by UC Davis and Imagining America, which will operate out of UC Davis starting next summer.
