Growing up, she would always finish her math homework before taking up another passion, designing and sewing, and she'd stay up doing that until the wee hours of the morning. "The 18-year-old me might not have agreed (on college over a career in fashion design) but now I look back and see all the richness and depth that comes from a scientific career."
