Medical school mentorBorn in West Africa, she came to the U.S. at the age of 11 — but her American dream did not pan out until "people along the way found me, invested in me and helped me get to where I am today." She's a third-year medical student who participates in many campus groups, "but what makes me the most proud is the work that I do with mentorship," working with undergraduates to help them get into medical school.
