Chancellor addresses Academic Senate
As part of her State of the Campus presentation last week, Chancellor Linda P.B. Katehi announces the Endowed Faculty Leadership Initiative to add 25 chairs and professorships, and outlines the new Financial Sustainability Action Plan, under which the university is setting aside new, annual recurring funds — through savings and new revenue — for reinvestment in the academic enterprise. Post office reopens, 'game over' for arcade
The campus post office is open — finally — in a trailer across from the Memorial Union. Arcade games and pool tables go on sale Wednesday morning at Aggie Surplus. And the east wing is being prepped as a temporary home for the bookstore. All this to make way for the MU renewal project, which officially starts March 23, the first day of spring quarter. [ More… ]
