After a year of interim leadership, Nate Hartinger ’00 was named UC Davis’ new fire chief this summer. He sat down with UC Davis Magazine to discuss his career, future goals and some of the things that make the campus fire department different.
When packages get delivered to 1 Shields Ave., they still need to make their way to offices and labs. Campus staffers make some 400 of those “last-mile” deliveries each day, including many for vendors — decreasing emissions and generating revenue.
