The project to increase stormwater capacity and improve water quality and wildlife habitat is progressing faster than planned, allowing staff to focus on establishing native plants, testing the new infrastructure and restoring areas impacted by construction.

Genetic Rescue For Foxes Could Give Animals a Boost

Small fox populations have been kept small by inbreeding, but introducing new diversity could help restore their numbers, UC Davis researchers have found. “If we were to restore them as a group, these foxes may still have a lot of adaptive potential,” a study author says.

New training due Oct. 5 — All Davis campus employees are required to complete a new program designed to help recognize, report and respond to workplace violence effectively.
