Visitors to campus this weekend can learn about birds, bugs, flowers, nematodes, yeast and other plants and animals during Biodiversity Museum Day. The free and family-friendly event showcases the expertise of 10 collections and museums.

Tom Smith, a professor of public policy and education in Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College, will join the UC Davis School of Education as dean on June 1. “I am thrilled to join UC Davis and work with such high-quality faculty and staff focused on improving education through research and teaching,” the Dixon native says.
