The UC Davis football team now knows its opponent for the second-round playoff game that will be played on campus this weekend: It’s the No. 12 seed, Illinois State. Tickets for the game are available now.
The rainy season is here, which means the five-person campus roof crew is busy keeping buildings — and their occupants — dry. Over the past five years, the crew has replaced more than 30 roofs on campus.
Soaring to New Heights — Nominate an individual, team or unit to be recognized at the Diversity and Principles of Community Achievement Awards. Deadline: Jan. 6.
Call for proposals — Applications are sought for Public Impact Research Initiative Grants, which will support research that is cogenerated with community partners, is of mutual benefit and has a positive public impact. Deadline: Jan. 15.
Dateline schedule — This month, Dateline will publish each Tuesday except for Dec. 24 and Dec. 31, which are university holidays. Dateline will resume its weekly schedule on Jan. 7.
The group will perform a piece by San Francisco-based composer Erik Ian Walker in an effort to use music to “connect people to climate science and action.” It will be followed by a panel discussion featuring UC Davis experts. (Dec. 4, free)
