More than 30,000 donors contributed a total of $253 million in 2022-23, exceeding the university’s goal and supporting projects like the AggieEats food truck. “We recognize that the rising cost of living is a challenge for many, yet our community continued to prioritize philanthropy to UC Davis,” Chancellor May says.
Help some 11,000 new residents find their bearings on campus during Moove-In, a process that is now spread over a longer period to reduce the impact to roadways and parking lots. Volunteers can sign up for two-hour or longer shifts, and receive a free T-shirt and reduced-price meal at a dining commons on the day(s) they lend a hand.
Offers of admission to UC Davis were made to nearly 40,000 people for freshman status this fall, and of those, 32,000 were California residents. Not all of them will attend, but both numbers are increases of about 10%.
