UC Asks You to Get a Flu Shot or Formally Opt Out by Dec. 1
|
The UC policy that requires all students and employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 now also requires everyone either receive a flu shot or opt out by Dec. 1. Flu shots are available through your health care provider, county clinics or on-campus vaccination efforts (Oct. 11, 12 and 27). You will need to record your shot or submit the opt-out form in Health-e-Messaging.

Aggie Spirit Comes Naturally to Alums-Turned-Employees
|
One of the Cal Aggie Alumni Association’s newest networks will kick off Aggie Spirit Week by hosting a social next Tuesday morning, Oct. 11, for “one of the largest concentrations of Aggie alums out there — UC Davis employees!” We’ve got information about this and other Aggie Spirit Week events, including the Homecoming Pep Rally and football game.

Campus Map Goes Tactile
|
UC Davis has unveiled the prototype of a new aid for visually impaired students and visitors: an interactive, tactile campus map with audio, created with the help of students in a design class. You can try out the map at this year’s Disability Awareness Symposium: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at the Student Community Center.

2022 Security and Fire Safety Report — Issued and posted Sept. 29. The annual report covers the Davis and UC Davis Health campuses and includes alcohol/drug abuse prevention information.

Free e-waste drop-off — AggieSurplus will accept university-owned property, desk-top sized or smaller, no more than 15 items per drop-off (if you wish to drop off additional items, you must go through the line again). 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday, Oct. 12.

General election, Tuesday, Nov. 8 — Ballots can be returned Oct. 10-Nov. 8 in the official Yolo County drop box outside Hunt Hall, available 24 hours a day. Voter registration deadline Oct. 24.
