Meeting Our Commitments

In a recent update to a town-gown committee, UC Davis officials detailed the addition of roughly 6,000 new bed spaces on campus since 2017, including about 1,500 that will come online next fall at the new Orchard Park Apartments. The total is more than double what is required under a memorandum of understanding between UC Davis, the city of Davis and Yolo County.

Aggie Enterprise Town Hall — Save the date (and time): 1-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, remote. Employees who have budget, finance or purchasing responsibilities are the intended audience, but all are welcome. Advance registration required. FOA Vice Chancellor Clare Shinnerl recently announced a project timeline extension of six months, setting a new go-live date of January 2024. Questions can be submitted in advance by way of the registration form.

Call for nominations for the 2023 Diversity and Principles of Community Achievement Awards — Presented during the annual Soaring to New Heights celebration, these awards recognize employees who — as individuals or as part of a team — demonstrate diversity and the upholding of the Principles of Community, in ways that exceed the expectations of their positions. Deadline: Jan. 16. (The 2022 Soaring to New Heights awardees will be recognized Jan. 12.)

Temporary street closure and bus stop relocation in UC Davis West Village — Sage Street will be closed for repairs between Jade Street and the northernmost traffic circle on Hutchison Drive, through Dec. 30. Street parking is prohibited and the bus stop has been moved to Jade Street.
