A Milestone on Testing Front
|
It happened late last week: UC Davis’ completed its 1 millionth test in the asymptomatic COVID-19 testing program that began a little more than a year ago and has been essential to controlling the spread of SARS-CoV-2 on campus and in the community.

One Health professor Christine Kreuder Johnson, an expert in epidemiology and ecosystem health, is among 100 newly elected members of the National Academy of Medicine. The new class also includes alumnus Charles M. Rice ’74, Nobel prize winner in medicine in 2020.

The pandemic is no barrier to the Arboretum’s popular plant sales. They’ve simply moved online — and your next opportunity to buy is now! The fall sale opened this morning (Oct. 19) to members and will open to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday (Oct. 22). You can gain early access by joining Friends of the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden. The fall sale runs through 1 p.m. Monday (Oct. 25), and pickups will be from Oct. 26 to Nov. 13 (excluding Nov. 12).
