Frustrated with long lines for COVID-19 testing at the ARC? The lines move fast, but, still, you might want to consider going to one of two Healthy Davis Together sites where staff, faculty and students are welcome as walk-ins, or the Sacramento campus (appointment or walk-in).

In Memoriam: Bill Wright, Elder of the Patwin People

UC Davis is remembering Patwin Elder Edward “Bill” Wright, who died recently at the age of 84, for the prayerful attention he gave to the university for decades. His words echo from stones and monuments honoring the Patwin as the original inhabitants of the land that became the university.

Support for Faculty Parents

A group entering its third year at UC Davis aims to help faculty members “do it all when your children are small” by brainstorming solutions and providing resources. Diane Wolf, a professor of sociology and convener of the group, expanded its focus during the pandemic to help more overloaded parents.
