Best in Nation for Diversity

UC Davis retains its top ranking (tied for first with New York University) for inclusiveness, diversity and internationalization, in the QS USA University Rankings. UC Davis was ninth among all public institutions in the overall rankings. UC Davis also had a strong showing in Forbes’ recent ranking of America’s Best Employers for Diversity.

Commencements Commence

The School of Law, which is on the semester system, leads off a spring commencement season that is a mix of virtual and in-person events.  The school will host an on-campus photo opportunity Friday and virtual graduation ceremony Saturday, with the state's newly appointed attorney general, Rob Bonta, as guest speaker.

The Campus’s New Pastoral

The members of UC Davis’ newest landscaping crew are munching on weeds and grass in an academic experiment comparing the sheep’s work to conventional landscaping. The multidisciplinary study is also exploring the possibilities of improving the living and working environments for people as they intermingle with nature.
