Medical Center’s Big Plan

UC Davis Health launches the planning and environmental review process to rebuild and expand UC Davis Medical Center. The project would add beds and private rooms while addressing earthquake safety mandates, removing facilities that no longer comply and replacing them with a 16-story hospital building and five-story pavilion.

Coalition to Stop Harassment

UC Davis and 12 other higher education-focused organizations are the first members of the Action Collaborative Partner Network, organized by the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine, whereby members will share best practices for preventing and addressing sexual harassment in higher ed.

Speaking Voters’ Language

María Teresa Kumar ’96 leads an organization that registered more than 600,000 Latino voters in the most recent election, and she joined Chancellor Gary S. May for a colloquium Feb. 18 to discuss how she reaches those voters and the issues that motivate them. “We meet our young people where they are,” she said.

Freshmen, Four Years Later
