A Race Against the Virus

In January 2020, Nam Tran and his colleagues in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine were scaling up testing platforms for seasonal influenza and the common cold. Then came the pandemic, and the race was on to create an in-house COVID-19 test. They did it in 19 days.

Give Day Sets New Record

Pandemics don’t stop Aggie generosity. This year’s Give Day blew past last year’s record by nearly $1 million. By day’s end, Give Day had brought in $3,467,783 from 5,663 gifts. That’s up from $2.6 million from 4,825 gifts last year. Donations came in from 46 states and 16 countries.
