COVID-19 Readiness Strategy to Expand Beyond Campus

Survey results indicate some 11,000 students are already living in or near Davis, and about 13,000 more are still coming for fall quarter. The campus and city are developing a unified public health effort that goes beyond “campus boundaries” to prevent the spread of COVID-19, so that the university and its neighbors can thrive together.

Public Health Ambassadors Will Ask People to Cover Up

Students will play an important role in keeping other Aggies safe this fall. Up to 250 Aggie Public Health Ambassadors will be stationed at high-traffic points on campus, modeling healthy behavior, handing out free face coverings and reminding passersby to wear them. Students will receive branded face coverings in welcome kits.
