Alumnus Shares Nobel Prize

Charles M. Rice ’74, honored for his role in the discovery of the hepatitis C virus, is UC Davis’ first Nobel laureate. A professor at The Rockefeller University, Rice and two others won the Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine Monday (Oct. 5).

Book Project: Mental Health

New resource is a list of activities addressing bias, racism and structural inequalities. “We should be proud of what we have done and all that is still to come, providing the opportunity to learn about these issues, to engage and to contribute to addressing them,” says Renetta Garrison Tull, vice chancellor of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
