AGGIE HEROES: Challah for You, Profit for Food Bank
Dough-making on Wednesdays, braiding and baking on Thursdays — this is the student organization Challah for Hunger at work, making 40 to 50 loaves a week for sale, then donating the profits to the Yolo Food Bank, more than $14,500 since 2015.
He’s been recognized as an Aggie Hero for urging academic conferences to better represent women and people of color, and now Jonathan Eisen has been recognized by Time magazine as someone “fighting for a more equal America.”
On Stage: Peter and the Starcatcher
In this prequel to Peter Pan, the Department of Theatre and Dance presents 16 actors portraying more than 100 unforgettable and hilarious characters, in a family friendly show that uses elements of pop-up books in the scenic design and steam punk in the costuming, plus stop-action video and other projection elements that take audiences on a magical journey. Feb. 27-March 7.
