Teaching Duos Sought for Interdisciplinary Program

SHAPE stands for Science, Humanities, Arts: Process and Engagement, our new undergraduate curriculum that will have students working and interacting with Mondavi Center performers. The first courses will be offered in 2020-21, and the organizers are asking other faculty members to pair up for 2021-22. A faculty “matchmaking” program is set for Thursday, Feb. 27.

So, starting April 1, UC Davis will celebrate Earth Month during this 50th-anniversary year of Earth Day. The organizers are putting a calendar together, and they’ve put out a universitywide call for information on programs and activities to be included — events that showcase the myriad ways that make us the most sustainable university in the nation.

Forever bound by the fruits of decades-old viticultural research, the late Professor Harold Olmo and Napa Valley’s Larkmead Vineyards have a new lasting connection — at the UC Davis Library, where a recent gift from Larkmead’s owners is paying to further preserve and share the Harold Paul Olmo Papers.
