2 big events to start year

Fall quarter begins Monday, Sept. 23, not with classes (they start Wednesday), but with RecFest (celebrating renovations at the ARC and Rec Pool) and Fall Welcome, which has become the university’s official start to the new academic year. All of the events are free and open to all — students, staff, faculty, the community — and include free dinner at the end of the day. [ More… ]

New La Rue: Bike lanes and boxes, plus parking

What’s black and green and white (striped) all over? La Rue Road between Garrod Drive and Hutchison Drive, where a makeover has reduced the number of traffic lanes to one in each direction, making room for bike lanes and parallel parking.
