Dean Emeritus Charley Hess dies at 87
He led the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences from 1975 to 1989, never took the word “retirement” seriously and received the UC Davis Medal in 2014. - Traffic controls on Hutchison Drive — Eastbound lane between Surge II and the Silo, extended through April 26, for preliminary work associated with forthcoming construction projects, including the Teaching and Learning Center. Auto and bus traffic will be permitted, but pedestrians and bicycles along the south side of Hutchison will be prohibited.
