Yearlong focus on South Asia starts with Amrinder Gill
The Punjabi singer and film star will appear in concert Oct. 14, in a benefit for Punjabi language and cultural studies at UC Davis. Other events this year include the Land, Water and Rock photo exhibition (opening reception Sept. 29); Sanskrit and musical theatre; lectures and performance art; dance; film festival; music symposium; and religion conference.
