She has a master’s degree in Native American studies (2015) and is working for a Ph.D., studying the history of her community, partly to make up for what she didn’t see reflected in her schoolbooks. “I’m hoping that by contributing to the academic conversations, that I can leave something that is of value to other people and also to other Native American scholars, indigenous scholars.” Hinzo’s profile (with video) is among several you can see here. Campus moves to protect printers from unwanted messages

UC Davis is taking steps to shield printers on campus from unwanted messages sent from off-campus locations. The gist of the change is that UC Davis will not allow campus printers open to the Internet to have access to the campus network, unless the printer is protected by a strong firewall, or has obtained an exception to this rule.
