State courts to hear cases in King Hall
It was built for students, of course, but, as the name implies, the School of Law's Kalmanovitz Appellate Courtroom is perfectly suited for actual appellate proceedings. Last year the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals became the first appellate panel to use the courtroom, and next week and the week after a state appellate court and the state Supreme Court will use it, too, both for the first time. Cutting-edge startup aims for nano-close shave
An engineering professor's new company aims to bring you a better shave through semiconductor manufacturing technology. Nano-Sharp Inc. plans to use silicon wafers to make razor blades and surgical tools far more cheaply than current silicon or ceramic blades.
