UC counsel responds to new ruling in Reynoso report
An Alameda County Superior Court judge agrees with almost all of UC's arguments for full public disclosure of reports from the task force chaired by former California Supreme Court Associate Justice Cruz Reynoso. Still, noted UC General Counsel Charles Robinson, there are substantial portions of the Reynoso task force and Kroll reports that cannot be released during a 21-day stay, put in place by the judge to allow time for an appeal by the campus police union. "We will confer with Justice Reynoso about when and how the reports will be released to the UC Davis community and the general public," Robinson said. [ More… ]

Middle school students in Trinity County will discover how going to college can open careers to them. High school students from Sacramento County will learn how to apply for financial aid. And others never before outside of their home counties in California's remote north will visit one of the world's top universities. Veterinary team helps rescue stranded horse in El Dorado County
Veterinarian Cheryl Ellis and a third-year student, Megan Schutte, of UC Davis' Veterinary Emergency Response Team played a key role this week in the rescue of a horse that had fallen down a steep embankment in El Dorado County.
