Update your contact info for WarnMe test Nov. 9
UC Davis plans a test next week of the WarnMe emergency alerting service. The test is scheduled to begin shortly after noon on Wednesday (Nov. 9), with electronic messages going out to students and employees on the Davis and Sacramento campuses and at other facilities. Between now and then, emergency officials urge faculty, staff and students to check to make sure that their e-mail addresses and cell phone numbers are registered with WarnMe and up to date. Some people may need to configure their computers' junk mail filters, to ensure that WarnMe messages get through to inboxes. [ More… ]

UC Davis' "dynamic and innovative" curriculum now comprises 100 majors, 108 minors and 90 graduate programs, including a new major in sustainable agriculture, a new minor in human rights and a new doctoral program in communication. Provost Hybrid Course Grant Awards available
The campus is offering $12,500 grants to support faculty members in the creation of hybrid courses, in which face-to-face instruction and activities are integrated with online instruction and activities. Sustainable winery building to be hub for environmental technology
Ground was ceremonially broken yesterday for the 8,000-square-foot Jess S. Jackson Sustainable Winery Building, which will enable the adjacent winery, brewery and food-processing complex to become the first self-sustainable, zero-carbon teaching and research facility in the world. [ More… ]
