Caller ID now offered on voice mails sent to computers

More than 1,000 campus phone users have signed up to receive their voice mails via computer, and now the e-mails come with caller ID information. Enabled Voicemail, or EVM, is a free option for all campus faculty and staff with voice mail accounts. [ More… ]

UC Davis Repro Graphics customers may now order paper that has been produced in a socially and environmentally responsible manner, from forest to consumer. Professor delivers 'carbon-free' keynote in Scotland, pedals home to Davis

After Timothy Morton delivers his keynote address at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland this afternoon, he will get on his bike and pedal home to his wife and daughter in Davis. By prerecording his speech for the U.K. chapter of the Association for the Study of Literature and the Environment, and answering questions during live videoconference from Olson Hall, Morton hopes to cut both costs and carbon emissions. Chancellor seeks volunteers for centennial celebration at the state fair

Chancellor Larry Vanderhoef is inviting the campus community to volunteer as campus ambassadors this summer at the UC Davis Educational Pavilion at the California State Fair. The fair runs from Friday, Aug. 15, through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1, and is located in Sacramento at Cal Expo. Training will be provided, and departmental release time for volunteer shifts is appropriate with supervisory approval. [ More… ]

As a public water supplier, UC Davis is required to periodically notify the campus community about the quality of the domestic water we provide. Campus water is regularly sampled and tested for a variety of contaminants, and the annual summary is now posted online. [ More… ]
