Plant biochemistry professor Judy Callis is “uncommonly connected” with her students, says Dean Mark Winey of the College of Biological Sciences, who joined Chancellor Gary S. May today (April 3) in announcing — during a surprise visit to her BIS 103 lecture — that she is this year’s recipient of the UC Davis Prize for Undergraduate Teaching and Scholarly Achievement.
