RESEARCH: The lingering effects of drought on forests

Scientists from UC Davis and elsewhere use aerial surveys of tree mortality to figure out how much drought a forest can take. The research also shows that the effects of drought on forests can take years to surface, suggesting that such effects may linger even after the drought has ended. [ More… ]
