Epidemiologist Magdalena Cerdá is lead author of a study that casts doubt on a widely held belief that cannabis is safer than alcohol. Data collected from regular users of cannabis show they experienced downward social mobility, more financial problems, more antisocial behaviors at work, and more relationship problems than people who did not report such persistent use.
