Fall Convocation: 'Building Our Future'
Chancellor Linda P.B. Katehi presides next week at the Fall Convocation, addressing the topic, "Building Our Future." No left turns or right turns from Old Davis Road to Mrak Hall Drive; use Alumni Lane instead (in front of the Welcome Center). All pedestrians must cross on the east side of the intersection. We present our preview of the arts for fall quarter. Highlights include the Summer Symphony (free concert) and cellist Anssi Karttunen; Opening Night with creative writing faculty and Book Chats with faculty authors; a reading by award-winning poet Craig Santos Perez; the comedy of errors The Government Inspector; and an exhibition of baby rattles at the Design Museum.
