Meet the newest inductees to the Athletics Hall of Fame
Longtime cross country and track coach Sue Williams and five student-athletes have been announced as the newest members of the Cal Aggie Athletics Hall of Fame. Williams, Jessica Campbell (basketball), John Faletoese (football), Christi Raycraft Warner (water polo), Tony Schifano (baseball) and Tanisha Silas Young (track and field) are due to enshrined at a banquet set for June 7. Trespass alert goes out by email to all students
A trespassing incident early Monday (March 17) in a campus residence hall prompted the Police Department's first crime alert under a new protocol that says such messages shall be delivered by mass email. Previously, campus police sent crime alerts by campus mail, for posting in departments; and by email to anyone who had opted in to receive the alerts. Now crime alert emails go to all students or all faculty and staff, or to everyone in both groups, depending on the circumstances. [ More… ]

UC Davis' microBEnet and the national organization Science Cheerleaders are partners in sending an experiment to the International Space Station. Researchers, including David Coil, a microbiologist, and Wendy Brown, a Ph.D. candidate (biomedical engineering) and a professional cheerleader, are investigating how microbes from different places on Earth compare to one another and to those found on the space station.
