Reynoso task force to outline findings, recommendations on March 6

Childhood obesity: The rate of increase is slowing, study finds
After years of increases in the rates of childhood obesity, a new UC Davis study shows that the increase slowed from 2003 to 2008 among California schoolchildren. While encouraged by the results, the authors expressed concern about a group of youngsters now driving the increase in obesity: children under age 10. [ More… ]
Ford's hybrid patent star reconnects with mentor at UC Davis
Ming Kuang visited his alma mater last week, specifically the College of Engineering, where he studied under the "father of the plug-in hybrid," Professor Andy Frank. Armed with a master's degree, Kuang drove to stardom of his own, at Ford Motor Co., which credits him with boosting the automaker's portfolio of hybrid patents from 10 to 461.
