Campus says initial set of proposed reforms due out soon
The UC Davis community should soon see an initial set of proposed campus reforms in response to the Reynoso task force report, campus officials said Thursday (April 26). Vet school lab plays key role in mad cow diagnosis
Laboratory work that led to this week's mad cow diagnosis started at our California Animal Health and Food Safety Laboratory on campus."The recent detection of atypical BSE (bovine spongiform encephalopathy) in a single cow illustrates the important role of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, through its exceptional network of diagnostic laboratories in partnerships with the state of California and the California food industry, to protect the public," Dean Michael Lairmore said.
