Lyme disease bacteria take cover in lymph nodes, study finds
The bacteria that cause Lyme disease, one of the most important emerging diseases in the United States, appear to hide out in the lymph nodes, triggering a significant immune response, but one that is not strong enough to rout the infection, report UC Davis researchers. New Jungerman Hall honors Crocker Nuclear Laboratory's first director

Pioneering neuroscientist Edward G. Jones dies at 72
Edward G. "Ted" Jones, an internationally respected neuroscientist and former director of the UC Davis Center for Neuroscience, died June 6. He was 72. The family has arranged a memorial service on the UC Davis campus at 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, at the Buehler Alumni and Visitors Center. [ More… ]
