Nation's largest telehealth network launched at UC Davis
Gov. Schwarzenegger, federal officials, state partners and university leaders launched the California Telehealth Network at UC Davis on Tuesday. The $30 million network, which will expand health care access to all corners of California, began at UC Davis in 1992 with a fetal monitoring project connecting a rural hospital in Colusa County with UC Davis Medical Center specialists. Putting the squeeze on Alzheimer's
Brain cells exposed to a form of amyloid beta protein, the molecule linked to Alzheimer's disease, become stiffer and bend less under pressure, researchers at UC Davis have found. Wall calendars set to arrive Aug. 23
UC Davis 2010-11 wall calendars are due to be available through the campus bookstore starting Aug. 23. The folded format is available at all bookstores on the Davis and Sacramento campuses while supplies last. In memoriam: Donald Jasper, Everett "Bill" Jameson
Donald Jasper, an authority on milk quality and livestock disease and former dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine, died July 25 at the University Retirement Community in Davis. He was 91. Everett W. "Bill" Jameson Jr., professor emeritus of zoology, died Aug. 11 at his home in Roseville. He was 89. [ More… ]

The Mondavi Center today starts selling Pick 3 and single-event tickets to staff and faculty, a few days ahead of the general public. Staff and faculty are entitled to a 20 percent discount on Pick 3 plans (three events of your choosing) and a 10 percent discount on single-event tickets. [ More… ]
