Campus budget: About $33.5 million to go

When the Legislature and governor finished their budget wrangling last week, UC Davis moved a step closer to knowing for certain how much state money the campus would be short in 2009-10. The campus has already dealt with an $80.5 million funding gap, and has an estimated $33.5 million to go. [ More… ]

CoHo to stay open through Aug. 12

The Coffee House’s yearlong shutdown was supposed to start today (July 31), to allow for renovation and expansion. But selecting a contractor is taking longer than expected, so the CoHo will remain open through Aug. 12. Various operations (pizza, deli, coffee, bakery) are expected to reopen in temporary quarters in the MU on Aug. 17. [ More… ]

New H-line shuttle connects Silo and Health Sciences District

Unitrans is launching a new shuttle service, the H line, between the Silo Terminal on Hutchison Drive and Lot 56 in the Health Sciences District. At the same time, D-line buses will stop going in and out of Lot 56. [ More… ]

Volunteers needed for full-scale emergency drill

Campus emergency personnel are gearing up for a full-scale training exercise Sept. 16, and as many as 200 volunteers are being sought to play various roles. All volunteers will receive necessary training and enough background information to take part. [ More… ]
